As well as boarders from Britain and from British families living abroad, we welcome foreign nationals, some of whom speak English not as their first language. Such pupils join us on the understanding that they are expected during school hours to speak English only. To this end, we provide these students, as required, with a tailor-made EFL curriculum, which can range from anything from a fully-intensive course to the occasional, advanced 'booster' lesson, depending upon each pupil's needs. Such EFL courses lead to proper certification, mostly by Cambridge University.
