Policies and Documentation
After a revision of areas on our website, and for ease of reference, we are pleased to list below school documents which may be of interest to parents. These documents are available either from this list or in the Parents’ and Pupils’ Handbook (which is sent to parents and which is also available on our website under ‘Publications’), or both. The reference-list itself is included as an insert in the back of our prospectus (in hard copy) and all these documents are also available in hard copy for inspection on the school premises.
These overarching school policies and policy-type documents apply to both the Senior School and Heathfield. Where Heathfield has specific additions to these (for example, to reflect the different personnel involved), such additions may be found in the Heathfield Parents’ and Pupils’ Handbook, which is issued to parents in hard copy and which is available on this website under ‘Policies and Publications’ in the Heathfield section, or may be requested in hard copy from the School.
Our Policies and Procedures are regularly reviewed. In addition, many have been reviewed several times between their anticipated review dates as a result of numerous changes in regulatory requirements announced at very short notice. In order not to make the revision of documents unmanageable, we have, in the light of another overnight change in May 2010 (whereby the DCSF has become the DfE again, following a change of Government), decided to amend this acronym only at the next review date of each document. Please, therefore read ‘DfE’ for DCSF’ where this occurs.
