The School’s own medical facilities, are staffed by our own medical personnel who are trained to provide private consultations, medical examinations, the administration of medication and appropriate support and accommodation for pupils who are unwell. Medical cover within school is available to pupils 24 hours-a-day, 7 days a-week throughout the term.
In addition to our own facilities we are within easy reach of the Brigg Royd Medical Practice which is situated within five minutes of the School, in Ripponden. Should there be need, we are also within 20 minutes of Calderdale Royal Infirmary, our nearest hospital.
Healthcare provision is of an exceptionally high quality and the boarders’ and day pupils’ medical needs are dealt with by Matron and her team. Whilst local pupils are all registered with their local General Practice, boarders are all registered under the NHS at the Brigg Royd Medical Practice in Ripponden.
Within school our medical facilities include a private consultation space for meetings with matron, and private bedrooms, bathrooms and showers should a pupil need to be moved into the medical facility if they are unwell.
