Boarders’ Families Living Overseas
The majority of pupils within the Rishworth community are British. However, a significant number of boarders come from overseas whether that is because their parents work outside of the UK or because they are international students. Either way the School has decades of experience in making life easy for boarders and their families who live overseas.
In the first instance, we know how to support visa applications should these be necessary, and we provide parents with full details of the practical arrangements involved in their child’s joining the School. As required, at the start and end of each term and half-term we help with travel arrangements (usually by taxi) to and from airports and railway stations.
House Staff are particularly good at keeping in touch with parents and/or educational guardians on an individual basis, and the School reporting system includes half termly grades in addition to full reports from all subjects twice a year and a tutor report once a year, so parents can easily keep track of their children’s progress.
