eSafety

 


e-Safety relates to the safe and effective use of all electronic devices, particularly mobile ‘phones and the Internet. Through a comprehensive e-Safety education programme, Rishworth School equips students with the skills required to use both current and emerging technology appropriately, with an emphasis on the positive impact that technology can have upon their lives.

Rishworth and Heathfield’s e-Safety programme is delivered by subject specialists throughout Years 1 to 9 in weekly ICT lessons. From Years 10 to 13 the content is addressed through Year Group Assemblies.

The materials that the School uses throughout its e-Safety education programme are produced by the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP). Information is also included in each student’s planner, a copy of which can be downloaded by clicking here.
