Open Events

As a result of the COVID-19 prevention measures being taken by Rishworth School, the Open Event on Saturday 14 March has been postponed.

The school will be contacting all registered families to invite them to tour the school individually at a later date.

What happens at Open Events?

 Rishworth School

Our current pupils will take visitors on a tour of the School, where teaching staff will be on hand to explain what they do within their subject areas and answer any questions.  The library will host displays about aspects of the School which may not be so easily visited; staff and the Headmaster will be available to talk and let you know about life at Rishworth.

Please remember that if you would like to come on a normal school day to get a real feel for the school 'in action' this can easily be arranged.

Heathfield Open Morning

Visiting families are guided around the extensive site by our current, and enthuastic, pupils.  Not only will you experience our fabulous facilities - the specialist teaching room, the spacious classrooms and outdoor areas, the teachers will be available to chat with but our specialist areas may be in action - incredible experiments in the Science room, gymnastics displays in the Sports Hall or perhaps sample the delights in the French Cafe!  Tours will end in the dining hall where visitor are encouraged to look around the information stalls and speak to the staff and Headmaster.

Tours and visits are always tailored to the visitors requirements so please let us know what you would like to see or know.

'Taster Days' are always encouraged so that prospective pupils can feel what is it like to spend the day at Heathfield and meet some of the wonderful pupils already here.

Please contact our Registrar, Mrs Julie Sutherland, on 01422 820920, or at to arrange a tour at any time, or for further information about Rishworth and Heathfield Schools.
