It extends over 130 acres with a wide range of buildings developed to accommodate increasing numbers of pupils.
The School is a founder member of the Society of Headmasters of Independent Schools (SHMIS), established in 1951 with the blessing of the Headmasters' Conference, to preserve high standards in those schools privileged to be its members. The Society has recently been transformed into 'The Society of HEads' and continues the foudning work of SHMIS. Rishworth is also in membership of the other most important organisations which oversee high standards in British independent education, including the Independent Schools Council, the Independent Association of Prep Schools and the Boarding Schools Association.
