The Headmaster, Alastair Gloag, comments:

“We are deeply proud of the achievements of our students in this year’s A-level examinations particularly as there has been so much flux and uncertainty around the changes to the qualification. They have worked extremely hard and, as young people do when all around them is shifting, have remained focused on what they have needed to do and I know that they will move into the next phase of their lives as confident, capable and considerate individuals.

These record results represent a huge amount of dedication and hard work and I would like to publicly thank my hugely talented and committed staff for everything that they have done to support our students. The two Sixth Form years are so very important and I am proud of the mastery and the ongoing care and support that students at Rishworth receive from their teachers.

In the interests of students’ entitlement to privacy, and in the light of the responses received in the past from parents to a school circular which asked for their views about the publication of examination results, Rishworth School is continuing its policy of not publishing without consent the results of individual students.”

Headmaster, Rishworth School, Ripponden, W. Yorks.
