Who We Are

Established in 1724, Rishworth School is a co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 3-18, nestled within 140 acres of countryside in the beautiful Ryburn Valley.
Rishworth School offers a nurturing and personalised educational experience, enhanced by its broad, engaging curriculum and paired with a forward thinking and innovative pastoral system.
Originating from the Wheelwright legacy of 1724, we are a charity organisation, where all our income is invested in the education of our children and the school. Our values are based on Christian ethics and we welcome those of all faiths or none to our community.
Why Choose Rishworth?
Rishworth students achieve high outcomes because they thrive as individuals. Their success is because of the supportive environment and opportunities provided in and out of the classroom, making them well-rounded students.
Our academic curriculum is supplemented by a full and diverse selection of over 130 Enrichment and Extension activities. From our renowned RIFA Academy, through to our Medical Society, Duke of Edinburgh Award, Funk Band, rock climbing, ski trips, artistic pursuits, sports teams and more, there is something to simulate, entertain and light that creative spark.
