300th Year Anniversary
From January 2024, Rishworth School will be celebrating it's 300th Anniversary.
Almost 300 years ago, Rishworth School was just an idea to our Founder, Mr John Wheelwright. This idea came into fruition following his passing in 1724. The first school building, the Old School, now our Chapel, opened its doors to children from the local community.
100 years later, the school expanded its grounds with the opening of the Wheelwright Building. These buildings are the foundation of the beautiful school we see today that now welcomes students from all over the world.
Over the past 300 years, many students and families have passed through our doors and made long-lasting memories in the walls of Rishworth. We therefore would like to extend an open invite to all students, Old Rishworthians, parents and friends of Rishworth who would like to celebrate with us at our events next year.
