Rishworth Academic Success


Our 2025 summer GCSE results were nearly 25% above national average.

Year 11 results headlines:

  • 90% of all GCSEs were passed with grades 9 – 4.
  • GCSE results at grades 9 – 7 were 10% above the national average.
  • GCSE attainments in Mathematics, English and Science above the national achievement rate (Maths 29.9% higher, English 36.7% higher and Science 30.2% higher).
  • Optional subjects including Art, Modern Foreign Languages, and Design Technology achieved a flawless 100% pass rate.

Year 13 2025 results headlines:

  • Almost 40% of A-level grades awarded at A–A*, placing Rishworth students more than 10% above the national average.

  • Students achieved an impressive overall value-added score of +0.47, meaning they performed, on average, 47% of a grade higher than expected based on their starting points.

  • Vocational results were equally strong, with 75% of grades awarded at Distinction – Distinction*.

  • The Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) department celebrated remarkable success, with 100% of students achieving full marks (95/95), earning double Distinction* across the board.

  • Students undertaking the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) also impressed, with 100% of entries graded at A*–B.
