RishBursaries

Since its inception, Rishworth School was established as a charitable foundation originating from the Wheelwright legacy of 1724. All our income is invested in the education of our children and the school. We seek to help remove the financial barriers that stand in the way of children joining our school through our scholarship and bursary schemes. We are keen that children are able to join us on the basis of their ability and potential, irrespective of their parents’ ability to pay.

Bursaries

Bursaries are available to help those families who would not normally be able to afford full fees. They are intended to provide fee assistance for lower income families. This helps ensure that Rishworth students are drawn from a diverse range of backgrounds. All bursaries are means-tested.

A prospective student must meet Rishworth School’s entry requirements and be offered a place before a bursary can be applied for. The level of bursary awarded will depend upon the degree of assistance required. This is assessed upon a declaration of income and assets. This process is confidential and will be reassessed on an annual basis.

In addition, bursary awards sometimes can be awarded for short periods of time to help support parents with sudden demonstrable financial problems.

To apply for a bursary, please make an appointment to see the Bursar via her PA: Bursar PA Email

Additional Sources of Financial Assistance

We encourage encourage families to consider applying for support from other organisations which provide assistance with school fees. We have included some further sources of information below:
