Rishworth scholars uphold the highest standards, work hard, are role models to others and make a highly valued contribution to school life. Each year there are approximately 30 scholarships available across three year groups – Year 7, Year 9 and entry into the Lower Sixth. Early application is recommended due to the limited number of awards and scholarships are determined through application, assessment/audition and interview.
Our scholars are expected to demonstrate exceptional talent and contribute to school life in the area of their scholarship. So for this reason, we only accept applications for one area; e.g. either Sport or Performing Arts, or Creative Arts (plus academic for which every student is automatically screened).
In very exceptional circumstances, we will consider applications in other year groups, but this must first be discussed with the Admissions team.
Scholarships
Our scholarships are worth 10%. Depending on the talent of the student, this figure may be increased.
