Whether you were a pupil, a member of staff, or part of the wider school community, if you’ve been part of Rishworth, you are part of the Old Rishworthians network. Established in 1926, our Club was founded to foster friendship, support, and enduring connection amongst former pupils and staff.

Today, the Old Rishworthian Club has grown into a vibrant global community, with well over 1,000 members living both across the UK and around the world.

What We Do

The Old Rishworthian Club exists to keep the spirit of Rishworth alive long after school years end.

  • Fellowship and Events — We organise regular reunions, social dinners, sporting fixtures and informal gatherings, designed to reconnect ORs across decades.

  • Community & Communication — Through our dedicated alumni channels, including a social‑media group, newsletters, and the “Rishworthian Magazine”, we share news, memories, updates and celebrate milestones together.

  • Support & Scholarship Fund — One of our proudest initiatives: the Club runs a Scholarship Fund that helps provide financial assistance to families who could otherwise not send their children to Rishworth. To date, more than 100 pupils have benefited from this scheme.

  • Active Leadership & Engagement — The Club is managed by a Committee of former pupils spanning several decades, but we are always keen to welcome new voices, including younger alumni, to bring fresh ideas and energy.

Meet the Committee

The Old Rishworthian Club is stewarded by a committed Executive Committee. Current roles include:

  • President: Barrie Moore

  • President‑Elect: (To be confirmed)

  • Joint Club Secretaries: Maxine Garbett (Broadbent) & Mark Wickham

  • Treasurer: Charlotte Bell (transitioning from Julie Radcliffe)

  • Committee Members: Andy Lewis; James Gartside; Julie Radcliffe; Marc Gledhill; Michelle Ringland; Rachel Harrison; Rosie Booth; Tom Clay

If you’d like to get involved, contribute ideas, or offer support to the next generation of ORs, we’d love to hear from you.

Stay Connected & Get Involved

Whether you’re near or far, there are many ways to stay connected with the Club and support the wider Rishworth community:

  • Join or reconnect with classmates and old friends.

  • Take part in events — from formal reunions to sporty get‑togethers or social gatherings.

  • Contribute to our Scholarship Fund — every gift, however modest, helps maintain the spirit of inclusion and opportunity that has defined Rishworth since its earliest days.

  • Share your memories, photos or stories — your reflections help enrich our shared heritage and keep our history alive.
