Life in boarding at Rishworth is vibrant, active and full of variety. Our boarders enjoy a packed programme of exciting activities and events every single day, with something for everyone, whether it’s creative, cultural, social or just plain fun!
With an extended school day during the week for both day pupils and boarders should a student wish to partake in extra-curricular clubs, to weekly weekend activities, there's always a lively buzz on campus. Saturdays and Sundays offer the perfect balance, with structured activities and trips available for those who want to get out and explore, while quieter options give students the chance to recharge and enjoy some well-earned downtime.
From adrenaline-filled outings to hands-on workshops, the programme includes a wide range of opportunities, such as:
• Shopping trips to Leeds, Manchester and Junction 32
• Jewellery and ceramics workshops
• Paintballing and Laser Quest
• Brick-laying and construction taster days led by staff
• Theatre trips and cinema nights
• Afternoon Tea with the Headteacher
• Cultural experiences like a Chinese restaurant evening
• Halloween parties and seasonal celebrations
• Visits to Blackpool, Cheshire Oaks and the Trafford Centre
