Extension

At Rishworth School, as well as the extensive enrichment programme that is offered, students can also choose to opt in to additional studies as an extension of their subjects.

The following are available to students on a weekly basis: The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Maths GCSE Support, Medical Society, Art GCSE Support, Careers Planning, French GCSE Support, Further Maths, Literacy Support, Spanish Foundation Support, Psychology, Spanish Higher Support, Latin, Higher Project Qualification (HPQ) and International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

Pupils are extremely effective independent learners. They exhibit strong study skills and relish the many opportunities provided by the school to develop their research skills and pursue areas of interest, whether in the classroom or beyond. ~ ISI Report 2017
