Heathfield Cooking Club

Students from Heathfield get an introduction to the food room at Rishworth with the opportunity to use a range of tools and equipment to develop basic food preparation skills.

Pupils will have the opportunity to develop bridge and claw grip when cutting foods. They will learn how to weigh and measure accurately and consistently when making some backed products. Hygiene and safety will be taught and encouraged in all activities. 

All pupils are encouraged to taste the food that they make and become more adventurous in their choices.
