Res Non Verba Competition 2025
We are thrilled to announce the launch of this year’s Res Non Verba Competition, which this year is inspired by the Suffragette movement and is open to the entire Rishworth community!
This is your chance to showcase your creativity and express what Res Non Verba—Deeds Not Words—means to you.
Who can apply?
The competition will be divided into separate categories for students by age group and this year there will be an adult category, open to staff, parents, grandparents, Old Rishworthians, and friends of the school.
What can you create?
The possibilities for entries are endless—whether it's a:
- Short story
- Artwork
- Music composition
- Dance performance
- Poem
- Short film
or any other form of expression.
We encourage participants to let their imaginations run wild.
Important dates:
The final entries will be displayed in our Res Non Verba gallery on Friday 28th March 2025, where everyone will have the chance to vote for their favourite.
We are incredibly pleased to announce that we will be joined on the 28th by special guest judge, Great Granddaughter of Emmeline Pankhurst, activist of women's rights and author of 'Deeds Not Words: The Story of Women's Rights, Then and Now', Helen Pankhurst.
Winners will receive a gift voucher and will then be presented with an award at our end-of-year Prize Giving.
We look forward to seeing what wonderful, creative expressions of Deeds Not Words our community will contribute this year!
